Friday Fun!

Wow, this past week has been so busy but oh so much fun.
Tonight has been my only night home by myself,
And it's been the best way to end my weekend.

So let me give you a bit of a run down of my Friday night!

To start off the evening Kat and me did alot of running around in order to get ready for a dance.
The theme of the dance was 'Colours of the Rainbow'
Check out our outfits!

Really bad photo of myself!
But you get the idea,
I'm kicking myself for not getting a full shot of what we were wearing!
I had one yellow and one green converse shoes one,
Bright Pink stockings, grey skirts,
Blue, green and pink top,
Green, yellow and pink sprayed hair,
and lots of bright accessories!

We left the dance at 10:45 for a important date...
A date with a wish!

So with had a helium balloon,
We did have two but one escaped!
And together we wrote out some of the wishes we have for our lives!

With our wishes written,
At 11:11 we made our grand wish in silence with let the balloon go,
Floating off into the night air under the light of the full moon.
To top the night off,
A couple of seconds later,
Someone let off a random firework!

Awesome night!
Finishing with us crashing into bed at 2am!

Did you make a wish??

101 In 1001 Update...

2# Send a care package.
Completed.

Unfortunately I totally forgot to take a photo of either of the care packages that I have done over the last few month, I'm really kicking myself for that.

Over the past two months I have done two care package.

The first one was to a close friend who is currently serving a full time mission.
He's package contained his favourite food, golf balls, toys to entertain his quiet time.

The second package was to another good friend,
This package didn't have to go through the post,
But it did take involve a late night creep up a dark drive way,
Sneaking along the front yard,
Placing the package quietly on the door mat and ringing the door bell,
Then running as fast as possible in flip flops (not easy!) while trying not to fall over,
Jumping in waiting car, and driving off before being caught.
-Fun!-

Really really kicking myself for not taking a photo,
The last package looked awesome,
Picture a big red box with a white bow, pretty.

Sending packages are fun!
And receiving packages is awesome!

  3. Pinterest: Over the past week I have fallen in love with Pinterest and now I am addicited. I love all the amazing ideas and photos that they have on their. Give me heaps of inspiration of the things that I can do in the future, I am already working on one project inspired from Pinterest. If your not a member of Pinterest I strongly recommend you come and join!
  4. My Hair: Over the last few years I have come to love my curly hair, more so this year I have treated it better and looked after it. I love playing with my curls and the different hairstyles that I can come up with without much effort at all. I also love that when I feel like a change, a different look, all I have to do is straighten it!
  5. Scrabble: I love the game and I love the scrabble art work that is around these days from scrabble canvas to necklaces made from scrabble tiles. I have found lots of cute scrabble things on Pinterest.
  6. Fresh Fruit: I love fruit freshly picked from the tree or bush. Some of my favourites are cherries, strawberries, apricots and so many more!
  7. People Watching: I love sitting down somewhere to enjoy a hot chocolate and just watching the world around me. Seeing how people act around me, what they are wearing, how they are talking, habits people have.
  8. Nice Smells: I love the smell of vanilla, I also love the smell of food cooking, fresh herbs being cooked, the smell of a BBQ on a warm summers day, a house smell so good after something has been cooked. Well that is if you don't burn it!

101 in 1001 Update!

97#  Go To A Museum!
COMPLETED!!

Today Lisa and myself decided to check out

To be honest I had heard mixed reviews about Mona.
And didn't really know if I would like it or not.

There were a few things that I thought were cool things,
One of the attractions that I was really looking forward to see was unfortunately not turned on which totally sucked! Its a water feature that shoots down water and they make words.

But let me share with you a few of my favourite features that we did get to see...
30 People singing Madonna songs,
All we could hear was their voices!
White library

Shadow room

It's amazing to see what some people call art.
Like for example the photo above, a bowl sitting on a old wooden chair with a knife in the water with two gold fish... and this is art, interesting!

Moorilla Estate where Mona is located, is absolutely beautiful!
It would be so nice to sit up there and enjoy a warm summers day and listen to good music.

P.s. Watch for the ducks...

More updates for my 101 things in 1001 days coming soon.
I lost focus on this project for a while,
But I'm back, and there is going to be some major progress with this one!
Check out the List & Stay tuned!!!

101 Things That Make Me Happy... Part Three:

WeHeartIt
  1. Balloons: Big bunch of bright helium filled balloons, makes me smile every time I see a photo or things about it. I just have always wanted a big bunch for myself!
  2. Quotes: As you can most likely tell from my blog I love my quotes. I collect them, I have a little book that I am currently filling up with quotes, and then I have a couple of identical books to fill too. I just love that from one or two sentences you can fit so much emotion and meaning.
  3. Family: My life would suck without my family around me. Coming from a family of 6 there is always a lot of people around, as we get older that number has increase and continues to with more additions. I love every single member of my family and I would not be who I am today without them. I love watching my nieces and nephew grow up, learn about live, watching them smile and laugh.
  4. Bubble baths: Nice relaxing warm bubble baths, lights turn down, candles lighting up the room, with music softly playing in the background. Just lying back, eyes closed and enjoying the moment. Heaven!
  5. Walks: I love a good long walk with a good friend. My favourite place to walk is along a beach at night time. Just walking and chatting. Being able to be silly together and not having to worry about other people seeing you, lol. Had many perfect long evening like this!
  6. Fresh feeling: The feeling you get after a long warm shower, after a hair cut, after getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist, putting on clean clothes straight out of the dryer, after taking your make-up off and cleaning your face.
  7. Puzzles: I love a good jigsaw puzzle, I love the ones with lots of people in it. I also love doing a sudoku puzzle or a find-a-word.
  8. Blogs: I love reading people's blogs, I love reading about their lives, likes and seeing their talents. I love getting to know other bloggers and learning their story.
  9. Tamed hair days: hey I have curly hair, it has a mind of it's own and most days it just does what it wants, which most of the time is not what I want, I just deal with it. But I love the days when it curls just right!
  10. Moisturiser: I love a good hand and body moisturiser, especially hand as i moisturise frequently. I also love a good lip balm, for the past 4 years since my awesome cousin Lauren introduced me to it I have fallen in love with Paw Paw Ointment. If you don't know what it is, hunt it down and try it!! Trust me you will love it!

101 Things That Make Me Happy... Part Two:

KruBooks
  1. Adrenaline: Love the feel of my heart beating a thousand miles an hour! I love the high it gives. In the past I have enjoyed skydiving, motorbike rides, abseiling and a number of other things. Addicted to the rush!

  3. Treehouse: Always wanted one when I was young... and still do want one!
  4. Live performances: Love live musicals, my favourite is 'Wicked' and 'Phantom of the Opera', never seen 'Phantom of the Opera' live but my mum has and she said it was amazing, and I love the movie so much! I also love comedy performances and plays and also live bands and dancing.
  5. Gilmore Girls: I that show! I love Lorelai and Rory, I love their relationship and how they are so close and just how they banter with each other and others.
  6. Bargains: Who doesn't like a good bargain! I love when you get to the check out and get the nice surprise that it's cheaper then expected. I love discovering cute little things that are cheap. I just love bargains, plain and simple.
  7. Nature: Wow so many things that I love in this one, here are a few... rain, autumn leaves, light and fluffy snow, warm sun shine, fluffy clouds, rays of light through clouds, rainbows, thunder and lighting, spring, trees, pretty flowers, green healthy grass, full moons, shooting stars,  tornadoes. Ok so I know that tornadoes shouldn't make me happy, that they cause a lot of harm and destruction. But they just amaze me, they are so powerful and unpredictable, and wow... i don't really know how to explain it.
  8. Warm Clothes: Love the feeling of freshly washed clothes that have been taken out of the clothes dry machine and put stair on. Love it even more on a cold winters day... mmm so warm!
  9. Home Cooked Meals: I haven't lived at home for the past 5-6 years, but I still love going home for one of mum's home cooked meals, there is nothings better then a meal made with love by someone else.
  10. Movies: I love just chilling out and watching a good movie. I have a pretty impressive collection. It's a good way to zone out and forget for a hour or two what is happening in your life at that moment and relax.

COMPLETED

When I found the website "Gimme Your Stuff"
Straight away I wanted to participate.
But unfortunately the website seems to have not been used since mid 2009.

But I wasn't going to admit fail quite yet.
Then I had a idea.

When I started this 101 list
I had joined a site called
"20 Something Bloggers"

So I started a forum topic
through which I then found the person

I was super excited to do a package swap with Jamie
She is a awesome person! And a LDS member.

On Monday 20th Dec I received my package...

These are my favourites from the package, the photo above and below.

101 in 1001 Update!

75# Mail out christmas cards
Completed!!

Ten christmas cards sent out.

But with a twist, oh how I like giving people surprises.

I like to see people smile.

I like to make people feel like they are important

And that they do have a effect on people lives.

Most of the time they don't even know that they have that effect on people.

Basically theses cards were to thank people for being them.

Only one card had a sender on it.

The rest well if they find out it was me, then so be it.

But I would rather it be a secret.

The list!

Have you ever wondered what you achieve in the next three years? Or where you will be?
Do you like making lists and goals for the future?

Then you should try the Day Zero Project!

The Challenge:

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:

Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
