Quote of the day...

The desire to create is one of the deepest yearning of the human soul.
No matter our talents, education, backgrounds or abilities,
We each have an inherent wish to create some thing that did not exist before.
Everyone can create,
You don't need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty.
You might say "I'm not the creative type".
If that is how you feel, think again and remember that you are a spirit daughters of the most creative being in the universe.
Isn't it remarkable to think that your very spirits are fashioned by an endlessly creative and eternally compassionate God!
Think about it- your spirit body is a mater piece, created with a beauty, function and capacity beyond imagination.
Creation is your opportunity in this life and in the life to come,
Start small, creativity does not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano.
Don't let the voice of critics paralyse you.
You will make the world a better place.
Improve, beautify, extend, smile, cultivate, develop, create.
The more you, trust and rely upon the spirit the greater your capacity to create.

What you create doesn't have to be perfect.
Don't let fear of failure discourage you.
Don't let the voice of critics paralyse you,
whether that voice comes from the inside or the outside.

-Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Camp out!

Today I feel like camping out!
With a warm far place, a good movie, good snacks, lots of blankets and pillows
and awesome friends!
Another thing to add to the list of things to do while on holidays!

Quote of the day...

My dear friend...
Reach for the stars,
If you touch them,
Great shall be your reward.
If you stumble & fall while reaching upwards,
You will be happy knowing you have made the effort.

-President Gordon B. Hinkley

Etsy Wish list...

Still addicted to Etsy, here is my lately wish list...

Quote of the day...

God does not look on the outward appearance.
I believe that he doesn't care one bit if we live in a castle or a cottage,
If we are handsome or homely,
If we are famous or forgotten.
Though we are incomplete,
God loves us completely.
Though we are imperfect,
he loves us perfectly.
Though we may feel lost and without compass,
God love encompasses us completely.

Quote of the day...

Dive For Dreams

Dive for dreams
or a slogan may topple you
(trees are their roots
and wind is wing)
trust your hear
if the seas catch fire
(and live by love
though the stars walk backwards)
honour the past
but welcome the future
(and dance your death
away at the wedding)
never mind a world
with it's villains or heroes
(for good like girls
and tomorrow and the earth)
in spite of everything
which breathes and moves, since Doom
(with white longest hands
neating each crease)
will smooth entirely our minds
-before leaving my room
I turn, and (stooping
through the morning) kiss
this pillow, dear
where our heard lived and were.

-E.E. Cummings

Today was officially my first day of leave, and I was excited about the sleep in, not having to get up at 7-7:30am.....

But my body had other ideas... 7:30am my body decides to wake me up.... NOT COOL!

Hopefully tomorrow my body will at least let me sleep in til 9:30, I would be happy with that.

Quote of the day...

I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong.
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.
I believe that tomorrow is another day,
And I believe in miracles.
-Audrey Hepburn

Different look...

Yesterday, to start my holidays the first thing on my list of things to do was to head to the hairdresser for a trim.
I used to straighten my hair on a regular occurrence but now I want to get a better curl back into my hair so I have reduced it to my visits to the hairdresser.

Before with curly hair...

After with straight hair and in a dress, ready for the YSA dance.

Sorry about the bad quality of photo I only had my Iphone to use.

Quote of the day...

"You know when your were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales?
That fantasy of what you life would be...
White dress,
Prince Charming who'd carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You's lie in your bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith.
Santa Clause,
The Tooth Fairy,
Prince Charming...
They were so close you cold taste them.
But eventually you grow up and one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
Most people turn to the things and people they can trust.
But the thing is,
It's hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope and faith that one day they would open their eyes and it would all come true."

WOOO HOOO!!

I am officially on two week holidays!!!!
So much I want to do, just need to fit in all in!

Quote of the day...

If you're going to be passionate about something,
Be passionate about learning.
If you're going to fight something,
Fight for those in need.
If you're going to lose something,
Lose your inhibitions.
If you're going to gain something,
Gain respect and confidence.
And if you're going to hate something,
Hate the false idea that you are not capable of you dreams.

-Daniel Golston

Shhh....

Shhh...
I have a secret...
A very very EXCITING secret...
A secret that I am looking forward to...
A secret that makes me smile from ear to ear just thinking about it...
A secret that makes me jump up and dance around...
A secret that makes me giggle...
A secret that makes me look forward to the future...
I promise to share soon...
But for the time being it's will remain a secret for a little while yet :)

Quote of the day...

"Once upon a time, happier ever after.
The stories we tell are the stuff of dreams.
Fairy tales don't come true.
Reality is much stormier.
Much murkier.
Much scarier.

Reality.

It's so much more interesting than living happily ever after."
-Grey's Anatomy.

Bublé Time!

I do love a bit of Michael Buble.
This is his latest song and I like the lyrics to the song.
Have a listen and I hope you enjoy :)

A mission of patience, peace and paper cuts.

Last night I discovered a cute little blog with a really cool mission behind it.
It's such an awesome idea, Sandy make them and writes positive word on it, along with the web page and then leaves them at random locations.

Step One, Two, Three...

So at work at the moment we are promoting wellness and healthy living, any one that come in for a quote receives a pedometer. Today me and my work mate thought that we would try them out and see just how many steps we took in a day.

I had never used a pedometer and thought that it would be interesting to see how many I would rack up. So my work mate sets up her pedometer, yep awesome they work she's walking around, numbers going up.

I set mine up just like hers and attack it to my skirt on my hip and off I go about my normal day of work. Come 3pm, i'm pretty interested to see just how many steps I have racked up... I look down and see.... 130 WHAT! stupid thing wasn't working properly, so we swap mine over for one that may work.

After some more walking around the office looking like a dork, we check to see how many steps I've taken..... 12! Yep still not working. So my work colleague attaches it to her skirt right next to her pedometer.... walks around.... and works perfectly fine.

These were some of the reasons my work colleague came up with to why it wouldn't work
Because...
~It doesn't like me
~I walk weird (which i don't! lol)
~I don't have a butt
~I don't have enough wiggle in my hips
~I don't have spring in my step

Wow, I think I'll go for... It just doesn't like me :)
Pity thought I was excited to see just how many steps I do in a day.

Quotes

There are many strong women in history who lead extraordinary lives. Here are a coupleof their wisdom that I love and thought that I would share...

"Life is to be lived. If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that is going to be interesting. And you don't do that by sitting around." ~ Katharine Hepburn

"Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future." ~ Audrey Hepburn

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Love her to bits!

Zoe is now coming up to being 4 weeks old, and oh how cute she is!! I love it that she's slowly starting to be awake a bit more, but she still sleep a lot. The other night me and mum went up to Ang's place to have a girls night- home made pizzas and a movie.

After I made the pizza's and put them into the oven to cook, for the rest of the evening you could find with holding this bundle of joy.

I swear she can sense when I was walking towards the couch to eat some of my pizza cause she would wake up again and threaten to get grumpy again, so I would turn straight around and start to pace again to settle her.

Sure one bonus is that I can give her back to her mother when she gets super grumpy. Gotta love being an auntie.

But most of all I love this little girl! Love watching her grow and well just love watching her, she's an amazing little thing!

Music...

Wow ok so my music collect is growing pretty well. For those who don't know me very well I love my music, I don't go any where with out either my iphone or ipod. I had being in a place where there is no music, sure I can stand quiet place, but not dead quiet, a little back ground music never hurt any one.

My personal music collection is quiet a wide selection of music from classic to pop, from country to rock. Wanna know how many songs I have....

I was amazed to how many songs I have, but more so to how long it would take me to listen to them! 20 days! That 480 hours!!! Wow

Ever wondered what people carry around in their handbag? Well on Flicker you can actually search and people will share with you. I find it interesting to see what people have in their bags, in a way it shares with you a bit about themselves, what their like.

Project

Over the past few days I have started "refocusing" my life, and to do that I have picked a little project in each area of my life, one of those areas is church.
The project that I have pick for church is that I want to read the Doctrine & Covenants from start to finish.
To do this I will be reading at least two chapter/section per night and one day a week I will read an extra 6 chapters. If I follow this plan then I should be finished in two months- by 6th November.
As I read I want to take notes and actually study what I read instead of just plan and simple reading it. I really want to learn form what the content that they hold.
