Winter Warmer

This year I think I must have blocked out just how cold it can get here in Tasmania.

Now that we are kind of in the middle of winter,

 That of which I have been reminded.

Mornings are fresh, the walks to work have been interesting.

There have been a couple of mornings with fun frost and ice,

One morning nearly slipped over 4 times, and then successfully split over on the ice.

But I keep myself rugged up with my scarf, mittens, and my knitted head band to keep me toasty warm.

The winter has inspired me to get crafty though...

Tomorrow I am going to be shopping with my mum,

We are on the hunt for some nice fluffy, chunky wool, to make a scarf.

Thank you Pinterest for providing me with so much inspiration to what to make, 

This is my main piece of inspiration for what I want my scarf to look like.

It just makes me feel a little bit warmer just looking at it.

All of this would definitely make me toasty and warm this winter!

Or at my knitting rate... next winter!

Goals...

I have decided that I have two goals for the next two months.

I want to learn to enjoy cooking and being craft more.

So the goals...

Food:

Find the time at least once a week to cook at least two dishes.

I don't really take the time to enjoy cooking any more.

But tonight I realised that I do still enjoying it after spending the evening cooking.

Project Life...

My lastest want!

For the past two and a 1/2 years I have been following Elise Blasha blog,

This year she has joined in the rage of a new project called Project Life

I think Project Life is awesome.

And now I really want to do this one too!

Waiting For Mail...

A couple of weeks ago I came across something that is called a Smash book.

As soon as I saw the video for it,

I fell in love, and wanted one straight away.

As a reward for going one month with out chocolate I decided to order one.

Plus a few extra goodies along with it.

I ended up picking the Red Doodle Smash Book, to have a peek at it check out this video.

Can't wait for my package to come in the mail!!

My Little Piece of Heaven

Everyone need a place in which they can get away from the stress of every day life.

For me it's my room, my little piece of heaven on earth.

There are a few parts to my room.

And today Im going to give you a bit of a tour of my creative area.

I love this space,

I am slowly getting it organised to the way I like it.

I also store my sewing machine under my desk.

I have in the past normally never really been creative,

But thanks to Pinterest and some amazing blogger

They have given me the inspiration that I need to start to enjoy it.

I'll share some more of my room soon :)

Baby Creation...

Yesterday I made a present for one of my sisters

Diaper cake!

Three layers of diapers,

With the centre of each layer containing goodies for both mother and baby.

It was fun making it!

I wish I had taken more photos and showed the steps of making it.

I may get to in the future i'm sure!

If Only I Was Crafty...

Lately I have had the urge to try to become crafty,

So I turned to Pinterest for some inspirations.

Here is what I would love to try to make...

My little nephew E, would look so cute in this outfit.

This would look so cute on my nephew E or my niece Z.

How cute is this hat!

I love the ruffs!

I love the colour in this art work, 

And it would be so easy to create!

I would really like to make a bag one day,

Once I can settle on a pattern I like enough.

Crafty Christmas...

Today has been a great start to my christmas holidays.

Last night I came out to stay at my parents place as I do every year.

My favourite part about Christmas is having the time off work and being able to spend that time with my family and friends.

This morning I had to put the finishing touches to a couple of Christmas presents.

And thanks to Mum and her craft area and supplies,

It made it possible for me to complete them.

Now I can only show you one of the presents that I finished off,

As that person as already received their present...

I have a love for stamps at the moment, love them to bits!

I have a heap of fun doing these presents,

And I have Pinterest to thank for the inspiration!

Being Crafty...

Me, I'm not really the crafty type.

But I do wish that I was.

Yesterday Kat showed me a project she wanted to do,

Friendship Bracelets.

Today was a beautiful day,

And both myself and Kat just felt like relaxing, and not doing much at all.

So I decided to try my hand at making a bracelet while we sat outside.

It's not perfect,

But it looks awesome.

Can't wait till it's finished.

In the photo you can't really see colours,

But they are blue, green, orange, and yellow.

Anyone else ever made one of these?

Thank goodness it's Friday!

Wow, today was so busy at work,

And the next two weeks are going to be just as busy!

But I am glad it's the weekend because...

I have just purchased one of Elise's Christmas mini books!

Tonight me and my flat mate Lisa did a random package of goodies drop to our amazing friends Kat.
I love dropping little surprises off at people's doors!
It'll bring a smile to anyone's face!

Other plans for this weekend include...

• Head to the markets tomorrow and buy some fresh flowers.
• Read a letter that arrived at m parents place, which Dad is dropping off to me.
• Organising my room... oh so over due.
• Doing some reading, have kinda been in a funk lately and not reading, i'm have the craving to read in the sun! Fingers crossed for some good weather.
